Free on-site estimates are provided at no cost or obligation. An estimate is not a binding contract. All pricing is subject to change based on final measurements, material availability, and site conditions discovered during construction.
A written proposal will be provided prior to any work beginning. The written proposal constitutes the agreed scope of work and pricing. Any changes to the scope of work after the proposal is signed must be documented in a written change order signed by both parties before additional work proceeds.
We reserve the right to decline any project at our discretion. Pricing on our website, if any, is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute an offer or guarantee of price.
For projects requiring a building permit, we will apply for the permit on your behalf as part of our service. You agree to provide access to the property and any information reasonably required to complete the permit application. We are not responsible for delays caused by the permitting authority. You are responsible for ensuring that your property complies with any homeowners association (HOA) rules and obtaining any required HOA approvals prior to construction.
Project start dates are estimates based on our current schedule and are subject to change due to weather, material availability, permit processing times, or other factors beyond our control. We will communicate any significant scheduling changes as promptly as possible.
If you wish to cancel a scheduled project after signing a contract, please notify us in writing. Cancellation policies, including any applicable fees for materials already ordered or work already performed, will be outlined in your individual contract.
Payment schedules and accepted payment methods are specified in the individual project contract. A deposit may be required before work begins. The balance is due upon project completion and final walkthrough, unless otherwise specified in your contract.
All invoices are due within the time period specified on the invoice. We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue balances and to exercise any applicable contractor lien rights under California law.
We stand behind our workmanship. Specific warranty terms, including duration and coverage, will be provided in your individual project contract. Workmanship warranties do not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper use, lack of maintenance, acts of nature, or modifications made by anyone other than our team after project completion.
Manufacturer warranties for materials and products (such as composite decking boards) are governed by the respective manufacturer's terms and are separate from our workmanship warranty. We will provide you with available warranty documentation for materials used on your project.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Total Ventura Deck & Fence shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our Site or the performance of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
